About Reiki

Reiki is a system of healing that focuses on physical, mental and emotional imbalances. When the body is in a state of imbalance, then illness, malaise and disease have the opportunity to settle in and become chronic. Reiki elevates your energy and vibration so that you can fully live the life you deserve and desire.

The word Rei means universal and the word Ki is life energy, so Reiki is universal life force. It works with our energy pathways, breaking down energy blocks and letting our energy flow freely throughout our bodies. It has been used to help with illnesses, injuries, pain, for personal growth and with mental wellness and clarity.

If you go for a Reiki treatment, it is most often a hands-on treatment with the practitioner’s hands resting lightly on or near your body. You will often feel heat and energy coming from their hands, with pain reduction and tension release in your body.

Reiki is taught in levels known as degrees. Each degree is approximately 8 to 10 hours in length, where you receive instruction about Reiki, learn how to provide treatments for yourself and others and become attuned to this guided energy. Even with the first-degree training, a person has a new powerful tool for reducing pain, stress and for clearing issues for themselves and for others. Once you have take each degree, the ability to use this healing energy remains with you the rest of your life.
